«Legal marijuana industry market worth $146.4 billion by 2025». Highly controlled by the state of California, each marijuana grower has to follow strict rules. All plants, at any life cycle stages, need to be recorded and tracked in Metrc, the official regulatory system: a labor-intensive and expansive task. Lodestone Data technologies developed a system based on RFID technology easily managing inventory and communicating the collected data automatically to Metrc. For the MJBiz Convention in Vegas, we had to design and implement an app for their RFID Handheld reader: inventory management, harvest, processing, and audit were the initial functions to accommodate the market needs. We are currently adding new functionalities to the app while designing a more complex desktop web tool.
